It is through the awareness of and meeting of our needs consistently that we can discover and create self love. It sounds too simple. But I’m telling you; it doesn’t have to be difficult! Let me elaborate.
Giving ourselves attention and figuring out what we really need is something we can do for ourselves daily. Over time, this helps to develop trust in ourselves. Meeting my needs consistently and having trust in myself that I will acknowledge my needs and meet them helped me to discover self love.
What do I mean by “needs”? Yes, food, water, and sleep are needs, but I’m talking about our needs as individuals. Food is a basic human need, but as an individual, you may need a specific diet to feel your best. For example, it could be an allergen free diet if you have allergies, or a vegetarian diet that aligns with your beliefs.
Today, I encourage you to take an honest look at your basic physical needs: nutrition/hydration, sleep, exercise, and hygiene. I’m going to assume that these are already being met on a daily basis, but is there anything that you can do to tailor them to you as an individual?
